You are my world

We all live as if there exists a million years ahead for each of us. We worry, get angry, and argue with people and sometimes we don't talk to a few people due to ego clashes. Is it all really necessary?  I believe with ultimate conviction that people make us better. We could be working, pursuing our passion, even be completely alone and yet be living a perfectly normal life. But, it is our family and friends that matters to us at the end of the day. When it is a special occasion like birthdays' we feel special and loved from all the wishes, not because we feel special, but because people make us feel that we matter. Family becomes friends and there are few friends that level up to the family. And there are a few special categories of people who are sent to us by fate. They would drop at the right time and they never leave. We cannot tag them with conventional tags. We cannot possibly name them with anything. Because nothing would seem to express the special relationship. It is not love, not friendship and we cannot possibly name it. We would be in that stage, where we cannot even love ourselves. But within a few years span, those SP (special people) would have changed us to the level where we smile on a daily basis and actually start to live our lives. What makes them special? They love us unconditionally when we cannot even love ourselves. They don't see a flaw in us. They might call our flaws as stars. They care about us more than we care about ourselves. One cannot possibly imagine how someone could possibly be so selfless. Do you suddenly remember someone when you read the above lines? Cherish them. Love them with all your life.

A scribble for dedication:

YOU ARE MY WORLD

It is easy to make words rhyme
But it is hard to make me smile
You make my lips curve a little
You make me laugh like the falling rain

You trace back stars in my flaws
You love me with all you are.
You love without conditions
You care without expectations

I never knew happiness all my life
Yet, You make me happy all the time
You might not say that you love me
Probably you may never will

Few things cannot be explained
You love is once such thing
It is not typical fairy tale or classic romance
You made a new kind of love that had no name.

My existence revolves around you
This world seems less scary, with you in it.
No matter what, no matter where
We will always be together.

Universe has got your back

Sometimes, life doesn't make sense. Like, in the middle of the pandemic, not knowing what the future holds, not understanding anything that happens around the world. People even starting questioning whether such a virus exists or not. Nevertheless, we are quarantined. Until when no one has any idea. With things turning into such a turmoil, all we need is a little hope. Imagine a rope being hung down from the sky, just cling to it. Never let it go. Never! Whatever may this situation turn out to be, or however difficult life seems to be. Never let go. Everyone had a plan for the future, it could be moving somewhere, or switching jobs, finishing college, getting married and so on. This pandemic situation has put a dent on our plans. Most of us have no idea what the next second holds. In the midst of all this, I am asking you people to hold on. Just hold a little tighter and little longer. Never let go of the rope.

Be positive. Be someone who finds good in everything. Every cloud has a silver lining. Find it. Whatever be the situation, try and find something positive out of. If you can find something positive, hold on to it. It might be hard now, with situations going hail mary and all that. But, we need strength, hope, love and optimism now more than ever. Strength of the character is being tested in times of turmoil. It is easy to sail when the tides are low. But sailing through high tides adds to the experience.  It is effortless to stay positive and hopeful when things are going well in life. But it is the difficult times and the challenges, that builds the character.

Life is such. It has night and day. Light and dark. Pain and pleasure. Good and bad. One would not appreciate the opposite unless they had faced the other side too. Martin Luther King said, "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase". So just hold on during the time of crisis, have faith even if you don't see the whole staircase, believe that Universe takes cares of us all the time. It might not make sense or even sound logical, but believe in the Universe, for it is the power that created everything you see including you.

Finally, when all of this over, you will be glad that you had a positive perspective throughout life. Remember, Universe has got your back.

Be in the present moment

Time is strange. It promises us something obsolete, and it slips us every time. Time is linear, we have been told. There is past, present and future. But is that what Time really is? Quantum mechanics regards the flow of time as universal and absolute, whereas General theory of relativity regards time as malleable and relative. Albert Einstein once wrote: People like us who believe in physics know that the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion. Most of us believe Quantum definition of time is beyond our scope, and get through the day as if we are chasing time or to put it another way, that Time is chasing us down. Is time really an illusion. Believing this would be there is no past, present or future and everything we think, hope for , worry about will prove to be absolutely futile. In practical point of time, We have our clocks and gadgets to remind us of Time. We run behind it and hope to catch it before it hunts us down. Why don’t we see time from a different perspective? The reason people call Time to be an illusion, could be due to that, time cannot be felt, seen, heard or touched. All we have is now. We are so lost in our mind, the constant internal chatter, the day dreams, thoughts, worry, future, and past. We are rarely living our lives and we are rarely living in the now. The past we worry about was once in the present moment, the future moment we are so anxious about passes through the now. We are in the now a.k.a present moment, yet all our thoughts are over there, somewhere out there.  Why is it so hard to be present in the now and take life as it comes. Of course, we can learn from the past and be prepared or have a plan for the future. But that doesn't mean that our entire present moment will be lost forever in the span of time. We are rarely in the now. Mostly, the present moment is seen as the means to the end. Waiting for something to arrive, something to be over, somewhere to be. Once that goal is achieved, then we wait for something else. We rarely live fully and rarely live in the present moment.

“When you think about it in the big scheme of things our time together is like a dash of spice in a big cosmic soup – important for richness of flavor but still not quite the main ingredient. The past is over. It can’t and shouldn’t be reclaimed. All we ever have is now anyway.” - Alyson Noel

Eckhart Tolle wrote “ People don’t realize that now is all there ever is; there is no past or future except as memory or anticipation in your mind.” How true is that? How many of us are vexed about the mental chatter and the anxiety and want a little peace for us. The secret lies in the present moment a.k.a now. Another catch here is “Most of the things we worry about don't happen.” We plan ahead every day carefully, planning for the future inch by inch, brick by brick, the entire future completely laid out and we just need to arrive there. How beautiful our dreams seem. Then all of a sudden, a pandemic drops in the middle, and everything we hoped, wished and planned had crumbed down to pieces. So is it futile to plan or to hope for the future or learn from the past. No, absolutely not. But all we need to do is take life minute by minute and moment by moment. Anything might happen in the future like a world pandemic and change everything upside down, and here we are like puppets being pulled to the strings of unknown. Plan for the future, learn from the past. But be in the present moment. Live life fully. Accept whatever your present moment holds and work with it. Don't resist the present moment. Don't resist life. Be free of the mind chatter and be in the now. Enjoy life fully, whatever life brings. Have a positive attitude towards life. Cherish your family and friends. Live as if now is all you have, because that is all you will ever have.
